PEACHTREE HISTORY
In June of 1996, Vera and Lavell Willis decided to open their flagship restaurant, "The Peachtree Buffet", in Southeast Kansas City. It was an instant success. Mrs. Willis wanted to share the great Soul food recipes with the people of Kansas City that had been passed down to her from generations ago. The Peachtree Buffet became a destination restaurant for family and friends to come and enjoy fried chicken, catfish, peach cobbler and much more.
The food, ambiance, and customer service of the Buffet soon became legendary for traditional Soul food Restaurants. "Doing things different, better and the right way was always a goal at the Peachtree," proclaimed Mrs. Willis. With the success of the Peachtree Buffet, Vera and Lavell expanded the Peachtree to include an upscale, sit-down restaurant in December of 2002. Along with traditional Southern Cuisine the menu was expanded to include seafood and hand carved steaks and live Jazz.
The Peachtree mission is to please every guest, leaving them with a one of a kind dining experience. No doubt when you visit the unique award-winning Peachtree Restaurant, "You will feel at home!"
