Wurst, Bier und Fritten
Haus is a German and Belgian beer and Sausage house in the literal corner of the Martini Corner Entertainment District.
We serve old world style beers; most from Europe but some from the US. We have 20 on tap that are each served in the proper brewery glass from our spankin' new top of the line draft system. We also serve another 25-30 beers in bottles of various sizes that come with a generic glass. We try hard to offer you the finest selection of what we think are the best beers out there in most of the old world styles. We invite you to try new beers and let us know what you think.
Along with the beer we proudly serve fresh sausage from Local Pig, a brand new old school butcher shop in the East Bottoms. Chef Alex Pope and partners do everything they can to source their meat within 150 miles of Kansas City, put together some awesome recipes and deliver sausage fresh to us each week. Your sausage is never frozen and contains no preservatives or other chemicals. It is served on a fresh pretzel bun from Farm to Market Bread Company with your choice of toppings.
Oh, and we do fries here. Real fries from real potatoes that we cut ourselves. We fry them twice in the Belgian style and they come out crispy and full of taste. We offer a number of dipping sauces for your fries that you will love.
Haus does offer a small but interesting wines by the glass list and a full bar service for our friends that just aren't into the beer thing. But we'll get them to try something sooner or later.
